Doctors Collins and Weinberg are practicing general surgeons who saw a need for improved access to laser hair removal and skin treatments and better options for varicose veins. With our expanded staff and state of the art technology, our patients no longer need to drive out of the area to obtain quality care.
There is a tremendous advantage in having surgeons evaluating and supervising patients who are interested in predominantly elective cosmetic treatments. Although patients may present with requests for what may seem to be minor issues, the clinical acumen and surgical expertise of these doctors allows for the appropriate screening of more serious skin and vascular conditions that may require intervention. Being active practitioners in medical and surgical management provides our patients with an added margin of safety and ensures appropriate, timely care that simply is not available in lesser settings.
Doctor Collins graduated from The University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1989 and completed a year of surgical critical care training at the world renowned Shock Trauma Center, practicing in Hagerstown ever since. He was board certified in general surgery in 1997 and thereafter admitted to fellowship in the American College of Surgeons.
Doctor Weinberg graduated from New York Medical College in 1981 and has an extensive practice experience in vascular surgery, working in Philadelphia where he held faculty appointments at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine before settling in Hagerstown in the 1990's. He was board certified in general surgery in 1987 and thereafter admitted to fellowship in the American College of Surgeons.
